Lip Augmentation- Top Get Plumper Lips

Just like wrinkles, the loosening and thinning of the lips are a sign of aging. Everyone strives to have lips that are beautiful. Many times, pollution, disease, and aging cause the lips to lose their original volume. Some people are born with naturally full and well-contoured lips, while others are not. Fuller lips are a sign of youth and sensuality. Thin lips are unappealing in many cultures. As a result, lip augmentation is in high demand. This can be accomplished with fillers or fat grafting. Hyaluronic acid is used as a filler in lip injection. In the fat transfer method, a small amount of fat is obtained from another part of the body and is further purified and injected into the lips. The fat transfer lasts longer than fillers.

At Inform Clinics, Dr. Dushyanth Kalva performs all types of lip surgery in Hyderabad, lip augmentation and lip reduction. Consult him at Inform Clinics to know more!

Types of lip Augmentation

  • Dermal Fillers: The fillers are made of molecules of cross-linked hyaluronic acid. They are hypoallergenic and easily absorbed. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the body that aids in the retention of moisture in the skin. Natural collagen disappears with age and prolonged sun exposure, contributing to volume loss and wrinkle development. Fillers are available in the form of preloaded 1ml injections. To numb the lips before injecting fillers, nerve blocks or ice packs can be used. To increase the sharpness and volume of the lips, fillers can be injected into the white roll and vermillion. They can also be used to cover up any flaws, deficiencies, or irregularities. Following filler injections, there is little to no downtime.

  • Fat Grafting/transfer: Another method for enhancing the lips is fat grafting. The subcutaneous fat in the abdomen is anesthetized here. The fat is then aspirated with a 1.5-2.0mm cannula. This fat is decanted, washed, and ground into micro fat globules. Similar to filler, this purified micro fat can be injected into the lips with a 0.8 - 1mm cannula. Post-procedure edema, which can last up to a week, is to be expected. In the coming months, up to 40% of the injected fat is expected to be absorbed. An additional amount may be given to compensate for the expected volume loss. This procedure is intended to be permanent.
